In February 2022, during the Beijing Winter Olympics, Chongqing BOE Intelligent Electronic Systems custom-made a digital chest badge using ePaper displays for the Athletes' Village, supporting over 2,000 volunteers in providing more intelligent event services for the athletes. This technological advancement contributed to enhancing the innovative experience of the Winter Olympics through the application of technology. It marked the first appearance of ePaper digitalization in a world-class winter sports event and the first official digitalization of credentials in an Olympic event. Moreover, it demonstrated a successful transition of ePaper technology from common electronic price tag scenarios to intelligent wearable scenarios, thus adding a new dimension to the ePaper ecosystem.

During the Winter Olympics, the BOE digital chest badge improved the visitors' experience at the venues, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the passion and enthusiasm of the Olympic Games, experience technological advancements, and feel the care and attention to humanity. The Winter Olympics served as a platform to promote the concepts of Green Olympics, Humanistic Olympics, and Technological Olympics. Additionally, the badge's body was made of medical antibacterial materials, providing continuous protection for the health of volunteers throughout the 53-day event. With its lightweight design of only 35g, the badge achieved an innovative fusion of "seamless wear" and "green health" experiences.

The BOE digital chest badge adopts a "passive" design, eliminating the need for an internal battery and wired charging. Instead, it utilizes the NFC function on smartphones for communication and power supply. The built-in eye-protection ePaper screen also achieves extremely low-frequency flicker, providing maximum care for eye health. Through BOE's self-developed AI algorithm and dedicated APP software, users can freely compose and edit text and images, enabling rapid refresh of massive information. The software's intelligent filter algorithm can convert photos into vector images, allowing users to customize image granularity and clarity. The portrait segmentation algorithm automatically recognizes and cuts portrait photos, making image editing simple and enjoyable.

To ensure quick pairing and recognition between users and the chest badge, BOE has integrated NFC functionality between the digital chest badge and smartphones. Users only need to gently touch the badge to the phone to transfer edited content. As a result, volunteers can complete the card-making, card-swiping, and card-receiving process in just 10 seconds. The digital chest badge is also designed for recyclability and reusability.

Furthermore, BOE has designed specific RF coils and RF network configurations based on the product's structure design, circuit design, and the size, position, and material of the black-and-white-red ePaper screen. This ensures compatibility with mainstream smartphone NFC coils in the market, maximizing energy collection and conversion. BOE's self-developed ePaper screen and fast waveform debugging method contribute to the rapid refresh and display of the black-and-white-red ePaper digital chest badge.

The BOE digital chest badge also integrates a one-card access control function, which can be connected to the access control system of various venues as needed. Therefore, it is not only suitable for large-scale events but also can be widely used in exhibitions, parks, and enterprises for promotional purposes, providing users with a convenient experience of integrating information, access control, and meal cards into one card. Its passive, battery-free design achieves the ultimate in security and portability while also enabling permanent display even when power is off. With multiple refreshing methods through a smartphone app and computer software, it not only makes individual users' interactions simple and enjoyable but also facilitates batch refreshing and encrypted management for enterprise administrators.

In addition to the digital chest badge, BOE's wireless and paperless system solution also includes underlying devices such as electronic doorplates, electronic desk nameplates, and Bluetooth gateway APs. These devices are integrated with the dedicated management platform called the "Smart Meeting Management System," forming a complete set of office scene product solutions. This integration enables maximizing the utilization of office resources, improving the efficiency of office meetings, and achieving a wire-free, low-power, automated, and intelligent fine-grained user experience.

With this comprehensive solution, BOE provides businesses with a seamless and efficient office environment, ensuring a smooth and productive meeting experience while promoting wire-free, energy-efficient, automated, and intelligent operations.

The electronic desk nameplate is the core product in the wireless and paperless system solution, utilizing ultra-low-power ePaper display technology. It features wire-free installation, portable mobility, and direct content refresh through a mobile app, supporting batch import of participant lists, and other convenient functionalities. Additionally, BOE offers two appearance designs: T-type and A-type, and two color options: rosewood and silver, achieved through a seamless molding process. The product further optimizes and iterates on the color display of desk nameplates based on the user's brand logo and corporate culture color requirements.

This product effectively addresses the pain points of traditional meeting scenarios, such as labor-intensive and resource-consuming manual engraving of nameplates, time-consuming replacements, and paper wastage. According to statistics, in a 100-person meeting, three professional staff members would need to work for nearly two hours, leading to significant paper waste. Embracing the trend of paperless and intelligent office environments, the electronic desk nameplate has become increasingly popular since its launch in 2019, widely adopted in meetings of various sizes.

In May 2020, during the Third Session of the Thirteenth National People's Congress in Beijing, BOE's smart conference desk nameplate and digital sign solutions made their first appearance in a national-level major conference, showcasing innovative technology supporting the convening of the two sessions. The one-click remote multi-target intelligent update of conference desk nameplate content improved efficiency and reduced paper usage and energy consumption during the two sessions.

In May 2023, the "Fifth China Western International Investment and Trade Fair," a national-level international event in western China, was held in Chongqing, where BOE's conference desk nameplate once again made an appearance, providing conference services and contributing to the successful holding of the event.

The electronic doorplate is primarily used in conference rooms and offices, integrated with BOE's independently developed "Smart Meeting Management System" management platform. It enables functions such as meeting reservations and information dissemination, providing users with an intelligent and digital office experience. To address the challenges of difficult wiring, unsightly appearance, and long construction periods in traditional LCD solutions, this product utilizes WIFI communication, allowing easy access to the user's network without the need for additional gateway devices. This reduces the user's setup complexity and facilitates on-site construction implementation.

In modern buildings with increasing glass elements, laying cable trays for electrical construction can damage the overall office environment, leading to unsightly appearance, high construction costs, and lengthy construction periods. The electronic doorplate adopts a lithium battery charging design, ensuring low power consumption and an ultra-long battery life (one charge can last up to 180 days). With its metal frame and non-backlit design, the product's style can blend into various office decoration styles, emphasizing simplicity without being overly flashy.

To accommodate different meeting room sizes, the electronic doorplate comes in two size options: 7.4 inches and 12.2 inches for users to choose from. BOE has also independently developed the "Smart Meeting Management System," which allows users to make meeting reservations, display reservation information, and update attendee desk nameplate information through the platform.
