SoluM's electronic shelf labels
SoluM announced on Dec. 5 that it has signed a contract to supply electronic shelf labels (ESL) to Central Group, the largest retailer in Thailand. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone for SoluM as it continues to expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market.
Electronic shelf labels (ESLs) are digital price tags that display product information on store shelves. ESLs provide real-time price information, flexible campaign settings, and easy inventory management, aligning with the broader trend of digital transformation in the retail sector.
Central Group, a major conglomerate in Thailand, operates across various sectors, including retail, real estate, and hospitality, in 11 countries including Southeast Asia and Europe. Its subsidiary, Central Retail, is a leading retail company in Thailand, managing 260 supermarkets and 700 convenience stores. Recently, Central Retail announced plans to expand its retail chain stores to 1,000 by 2027, indicating a robust growth trajectory and increased demand for advanced retail technologies.
SoluM's ESLs, which will be introduced starting from major supermarkets in downtown Bangkok in January next year, offer IP68 level waterproof and dustproof features. These attributes ensure stable performance even in Thailand's hot and humid climate, making them a reliable choice for local retailers.
A representative from SoluM stated, "We are strengthening our pre-sales and technical support, and recently relocated our Australian sales subsidiary to Sydney and secured a new sales base in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, expanding our overseas sales network." This move underscores SoluM's commitment to enhancing its global footprint and providing localized support to its clients.
