On September 17, Teleste announced the expansion of its information display portfolio with a distinctive new range of outdoor ePaper displays. Designed for extremely low power consumption, these battery- or solar-powered displays cut energy use by as much as 50% compared with other comparable battery-powered ePaper solutions on the market. Depending on system configuration and operating characteristics, battery life can reach 10 years. This enables public transport operators to deliver real-time passenger information across all public transport routes, including remote and temporary locations.
The displays are designed for continuous outdoor use and rely on Teleste's patent-pending smart energy management architecture and bonded ePaper structure to achieve a very low lifecycle cost, excellent outdoor readability and a compact design. The displays support wireless content updates over mobile networks. Thanks to ePaper technology, content remains visible even without a continuous power supply. The ePaper displays come in a range of screen sizes and can be deployed either as standalone information points or integrated into broader passenger information systems.

These displays integrate seamlessly with Teleste Hub, Teleste's centralized content management platform. For operators that already have a content management environment in place, Teleste also offers an API so that ePaper displays can be integrated into existing ecosystems.
