02 E Ink and Papercast Unveil the 1st Smart Bus Stop in Japan

E Ink and Papercast have introduced advanced solar-powered ePaper passenger information display technology for the smart bus stop project in Aizuwakamatsu City, Japan, to enhance service convenience and reduce ongoing operational costs. ePaper technology features high contrast, clear readability in sunlight, and real-time updates, making it an ideal information display medium for bus stops. The ePaper displays at bus stops can provide passengers with real-time arrival information, timetables, transfer routes, service changes, and a series of travel recommendations via Papercast’s remote data management platform.
