Would you pay top dollar for a large E Ink device?

Boox recently announced the launch of the Note Max, a 13.3-inch E Ink tablet that runs Android, and it retails for $650. That's a lot of moolah for a giant e-reader. Sure, if you fit the niche user of this device, someone who requires a large screen to deal with endless PDFs, I can see the use. But for the general user, I just don't see them being interested. And that's fine; there are plenty of other devices to choose from. Then again, if anyone saw the E Ink poster frame at CES, where the 31.5-inch version will retail for $2,400, and it would seem as E Ink screens grow larger, so too does the price, by a pretty large margin. I'd absolutely love an E Ink poster frame that can display any image I toss at it, but it would actually have to be affordable.

So, are you willing to splash out on large E Ink screens like these, or are you happy to stick to subsidized hardware like the basic Kindle?
