Malaysia's BIG Pharmacy has deployed ETAG-TECH electronic shelf labels together with 10.1-inch and 37-inch LCD marketing screens in its stores. Founded in 2006 and part of BIG CARiNG Group, the pharmacy chain uses the digital labels to keep price and product information beside the goods and to streamline the constant work of handling new items, price changes and promotions, freeing staff to focus on customer consultation and service.

Guodong Qinda and HopeRun Software have completed the first commercial deployment of a Sparklink ePaper smart ward solution at Union Hospital in Hong Kong, replacing traditional paper bedside cards with 13.3-inch E Ink terminals supported by a Sparklink base station and a smart management platform.

Acer has released the EP130K, a 13.3-inch ePaper portable monitor built on E Ink technology. It offers a paper-like, glare-free viewing experience with 3200×2400 monochrome resolution, 4096 colors, touch and stylus input, and single-cable USB-C connectivity.

iReader has launched the Tango2S, a new portable flagship E Ink reader now on sale across all channels. Built around an ultra-light in-hand feel, it debuts the world's first 5.84-inch 300ppi Carta1300 E Ink screen with a soft-light frontlight, bringing comprehensive upgrades in display quality, performance, and portability.

At the 11th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong on September 9, DKE Holding (01770.HK) and Ant Digital Technologies signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two companies will integrate ePaper display technology with AI, blockchain and IoT to build trusted data networks, green supply chains and next-generation smart terminals, marking a new chapter in the convergence of ePaper and digital technology.

The ePaper Industry Alliance (EPIA) has secured a dedicated ePaper zone at WITEX 2027, a world smart-technology expo to be held May 12–14, 2027 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Targeting European buyers from Carrefour, Airbus and Renault, the turnkey booth program helps Chinese e-paper firms enter the European market amid surging demand for green, low-power displays.

E Ink's next-generation Carta 1400 e-paper display has been pushed back, with supply-chain sources telling Good e-Reader that mass production won't be ready until late 2027. Partners including Foxconn, Netronix, and Linfiny have received samples for future e-readers. The delay also cascades to the Kaleido 4 and Gallery 4 color e-paper platforms, while rumors point to contrast beyond 20:1, lower latency, and reduced text ghosting.
