Agile Display Solutions’ EPD32-FD Forever Display, which utilises E Ink Spectra 6, deploys Exeger’s Powerfoyle photovoltaic technology to harness energy from any light source to power its battery.
Agile Display Solutions showcased what it says is the “world’s first self-powered full-colour digital signage solution, designed for use in retail environments” at ISE 2025.
The EPD32-FD Forever Display, which utilises E Ink Spectra 6, doesn’t need to be plugged into an external power source, reducing operation costs compared with conventional digital displays.
The display deploys Exeger’s Powerfoyle photovoltaic technology to harness energy from any light source — whether natural or artificial — providing continuous power to its internal battery.
The EPD32-FD Forever Display is made from 97% recyclable materials and features an open API architecture for compatibility with existing content management system networks.
Agile Display Solutions also demonstrated the 75" E Ink Kaleido 3 Outdoor digital poster — a sustainable alternative to traditional outdoor displays that uses one tenth the power of LCD or LED screens — in Barcelona.
JB Daines, Agile Display Solutions’ chief commercial officer, said: “This product is not just a technological breakthrough — it demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
“The EPD32-FD Forever Display is poised to redefine how the world thinks about digital signage, combining innovation with environmental responsibility.”
JM Hung, vice-president of the business centre at E Ink, said: “Our collaboration with Agile Display Solutions reflects a shared commitment to sustainable innovation.
“The 32” Spectra 6 and 75" Kaleido 3 Outdoor color ePaper solutions reduce environmental impact and total cost of ownership for end users. Consuming up to 120 times less power than LCD and LED displays, ePaper sets a new standard for energy-efficient digital signage.”
