Over 150 representatives from 60 companies in the ePaper industry value chain gathered in Baoshan, Shanghai on April 28, 2021, witnessing the founding of Shanghai ePaper Technology Promotion Center of Yangtze River Delta, the entity of the E-paper Industry Alliance. This is the first global organization focused on e-Paper technology, marking a milestone in the ePaper industry.

The First ePaper IoT Summit 2021 organized by the E-paper Industry Alliance(EPIA) drew its curtain in Yangzhou, the “Silicon Valley of ePaper”, on May 18, 2021. It attracted approximately 200 delegates from 100 companies and organizations in the ePaper industry value chain, signifying that the development of ePaper is entering into a new period.

Founded in February 2021, the E-paper Industry Alliance (EPIA) has now consisted of more than 100 members. By December, 2021, 102 enterprises have joined the EPIA, while many others are in the process of becoming a member. This milestone demonstrates a strong cohesion among the enterprises in the e-paper industry ecological chain.

Digital retail solutions provider Hanshow has announced a major technology breakthrough with its first solar powered electronic shelf label. This new product, Nebular Lux, is setting the course for enhanced sustainability of digital solutions and IoT devices.

Since its official opening in early December 2021, the showroom for innovative ePaper applications -Creativity Beyond Paper has attracted a number of visitors, including members of the E-paper Industry Alliance (EPIA), industry value chain enterprises and governmental officials.

At present, ePaper products are mainly applied in the consumer market, such as readers, notebooks, mobile phones, laptop PCs, desktop monitors, and smart home products. There are eight business segments ePaper is playing a role more and more important, including retail, healthcare, education, smart office, transportation, aviation, smart factory and logistics.

The E-paper Industry Alliance (EPIA) is ushering in its first anniversary of founding. Almost every week throughout the past year, the EPIA has received inquiries from its members and companies on the ePaper value chain. By March 2022, a total of 130 business inquiries and demands have been received by EPIA with 118 having been closed, and 90.7% has been handled or delivered to the right partners. Among which, 60 inquiries have well transformed into a valid lead with action followed, representing a 50.8% successful ratio.

It has been 100 days since the E-paper Industry Alliance (EPIA) officially opened its showroom to the public since December 2021 in Shanghai. During this period, a total of 65 batches of visitors paid visit to the showroom involving 169 people, who mainly came from the EPIA members, ePaper value chain partners, financial institutions, government departments, industry organizations and the media.
