On June 4, COMPUTEX 2026 officially kicked off in Taipei. With "AI Together" as its theme, this year's event focused on three core pillars — AI & Computing, Robotics & Smart Mobility, and Next-Gen Technology — bringing together cutting-edge global innovations and industry ecosystem resources. TCL CSOT debuted multiple ePaper professional display products at the exhibition, showcasing its technological expertise and industrial achievements in the green and low-carbon sector.

Expanding New Green Professional Display Scenarios
Low-carbon and environmentally friendly development is a key direction for the display industry. ePaper, as a core professional display technology that TCL CSOT has strategically prioritized, serves as the primary vehicle for realizing the green, low-carbon vision of the APEX brand. TCL CSOT has integrated low-carbon R&D thinking into its technology iterations, building a comprehensive ePaper product ecosystem suited for full-scenario professional applications.
The ePaper signage products on display came in multiple sizes — 13.3", 28.5", and 31.5" — with diverse form factors suitable for office meetings, cultural exhibitions, public information displays, and various other scenarios. All ePaper signage models feature industry-leading full-color ePaper technology. Leveraging reflective imaging, they deliver over 60,000 vibrant colors without a backlight, achieving top-tier color gamut coverage. Whether rendering the delicate gradations of natural landscapes or the nuanced expressions of portraits, the displays reproduce images with precision, offering a visual experience comparable to printed photographs. Thanks to bistable display characteristics, the screens consume power only during image refresh, with standby power consumption approaching zero. A single charge supports up to 3,000 screen updates, delivering up to 18 months of ultra-long battery life and eliminating the need for wired power entirely. The product line has also earned TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, and with optimized contrast algorithms, it effectively reduces visual fatigue, ensuring comfortable viewing even over extended periods.

Additionally, TCL CSOT exhibited ePaper art frame displays in 13.3" and 25.3" sizes. Both models also adopt world-leading full-color ePaper technology, producing images with paper-like texture and a soft, natural appearance that faithfully reproduces richly detailed and colorful landscapes and creative visual content. Equipped with a multi-mode communication system supporting both wireless and wired data transmission, the devices allow users to push photos via a companion app with a single tap. These products effectively address pain points of traditional display solutions — high power consumption, complex wiring, and inefficient maintenance — offering a mature and practical path toward low-carbon, lightweight upgrades in the professional display sector.

Deepening Industry Presence — ePaper Business Enters Scaled Deployment Phase
As a global leader in the semiconductor display industry, TCL CSOT, through its APEX brand, has been deeply committed to the green and low-carbon sector, continuously strengthening its industry leadership through technological innovation, supply chain integration, and global production capacity expansion.
TCL CSOT has long been steadily advancing its ePaper industry ecosystem and promoting upstream-downstream supply chain collaboration. In 2020, TCL CSOT partnered with E Ink Holdings, utilizing an 8.5-generation TFT panel line to manufacture ePaper TFT backplanes — the world's first use of an 8.5G line for large-size ePaper backplane production. On March 31, 2026, TCL CSOT signed a joint venture agreement for ePaper device assembly with DKE and Zhihe Technology, leveraging TCL CSOT's backplane technology, DKE's module manufacturing capabilities, and Zhihe's device design expertise to build a coordinated industry chain from backplane to finished product.
On the production capacity front, TCL CSOT has further accelerated its global footprint. On May 15, 2026, ePaper production equipment was successfully moved into TCL CSOT's factory in Quang Ninh, Vietnam, marking tangible progress in the overseas strategic deployment of its ePaper business. Once operational, the project will establish a dual-base collaborative model spanning domestic and overseas production, effectively alleviating peak-season capacity pressure and ensuring stable global order fulfillment. Capitalizing on Vietnam's geographic and policy advantages, it will shorten delivery lead times to Southeast Asian, European, and American markets, reduce cross-border operating costs, complete the vertical industry chain from substrate to finished device, and strengthen overseas manufacturing competitiveness.
At COMPUTEX 2026, TCL CSOT demonstrated with its green professional ePaper achievements the depth of its technological expertise and deployment capabilities in low-carbon displays. Looking ahead to the dual trends of industry intelligence and sustainability, TCL CSOT will continue to focus on independent R&D, iterate on innovative low-energy solutions, expand the application boundaries of display technology, and continuously empower the high-quality development of the global display industry.
